Voicemail Transcription

Voicemail transcription is a premium feature of Voradian phone system. Voicemail transcription is part of the VoradianEdge™ IP Centrex voicemail-to-email system and when enabled at the Domain (Account)  level, it is visible to any User that chooses the 'Send with Attachment' option in the Voicemail tab in the user portal. Users who have the transcription option enabled will receive an email containing the transcription, along with the audio file attachment. They will also see the text of the transcribed messages in the Messages page of the User Portal.

Please note that automated transcription services rely on speech recognition algorithms and are not perfect. Transcription capabilities can be negatively affected by background noise or poor connections resulting in text that may sound like the original speech when pronounced phonetically but is nonetheless inaccurate. However, the results are still very useful when a User is in a meeting or otherwise in a situation where it is not possible to play an audio. To enable Voicemail transcription for your account, please submit a request via our ticket system to Customer Service. There is a monthly recurring charge for this service.
